The Soul of the Summit

The Peace Begins at Home Summit is more than a global conversation — it’s an experience designed to touch the mind and the heart.

On October 29, voices from across the world will gather to connect the dots between what happens in our homes and what happens in our societies. But just as important as the insights are the moments that move us — music, story, connection — the threads that remind us why this work matters.

Music That Inspires Healing

At the start of the day, the Summit will feature a Transformance — a short activation with music, created by Gary Malkin in collaboration with Sarah McCrum.

Gary, a seven-time Emmy® award-winning composer, producer, and performer, has dedicated his work to catalyzing healing through music-driven experiences. Transformances are exceptionally powerful for helping us land in the moment, no matter where we are in the world. They invite us to shift our mood and energy, connect with our true selves, and open to a deeper, heart-touching inner experience.

Beginning with this shared musical grounding will unify participants across time zones and cultures, creating the presence we need to carry us into the day.

Guiding the Journey

Throughout the day, we’ll be guided by our MC, Angela Sterritt — an award-winning journalist, author, and proud member of the Gitxsan Nation. Angela’s voice and presence will help weave together the many perspectives of the Summit, connecting themes, introducing speakers, and holding space for reflection.

Her work has long shone a light on issues of justice, equity, and reconciliation, and we are honored to have her anchoring this global broadcast.

From the Youngest to the Wisest

The soul of the Summit lives in the range of voices you’ll encounter:

  • Licypriya Kangujam, a 14-year-old climate activist from India, one of the world’s youngest changemakers, speaking truth to power with courage and clarity.

  • Dr. Riane Eisler, now 94, whose life’s work has reshaped how we understand power, gender, and peace, and whose vision continues to inspire generations.

Together, they embody the intergenerational spirit of this gathering — proof that the circle of peace spans lifetimes.

A Summit Without Barriers

We believe peace should never be limited by privilege. That’s why we are offering 1,000 complimentary tickets through our Global Access Programme, ensuring that cost is not a barrier for communities that would otherwise be excluded.

As one bursary applicant wrote:

“My heart is so heavy with the state of the world. We need this now, more than ever. I want to DO SOMETHING. I want to make a difference.”

This Summit is for them. And it’s for you.

To deepen the sense of participation, we’ll also be using Mentimeter throughout the day so that every participant — wherever you are in the world — can add your voice, share reflections, and shape the conversation in real time.

Wider Circles

At the close of the Summit, we’ll be joined by the acclaimed musical duo Rising Appalachia, performing Wider Circles as a powerful finale to the day. Their music will carry us out of the conversations and into community — a reminder that peace is something we create together.

As they share:

“We believe peace begins in the everyday, within our homes, our relationships, our stories. The Peace Begins at Home Summit invites us to shift from patterns of domination toward partnership, and that echoes deeply with what we strive to do through our music: to uplift, to heal, and to build connection. We are honored to join this gathering and bring our voices into that circle.” — Rising Appalachia

Why This Matters

The Peace Begins at Home Summit isn’t only about ideas. It’s about creating an experience that brings us together — in song, in story, in dialogue, in hope. Because when we move in wider circles, peace is no longer a dream. It becomes something we practice, together.

👉 Join us on October 29 — add your voice, widen the circle, and be part of the soul of this global gathering.
